Matis Baum O’Connor is pleased to announce that Cassidy Neal, a Shareholder who has been with the firm since 2012, has been elected to membership of the Academy of Trial Lawyers of Allegheny County.
MBO Managing Shareholder and Academy President, Alan Baum, speaks on behalf of all of us here at MBO: “We are very proud of Cassidy in becoming the fifth MBO attorney to be elected to membership in the Academy. She has established herself as a successful trial lawyer whose skill and professionalism make her worthy of this well deserved honor. We at MBO congratulate Cassidy on this great achievement.” MBO’s other Academy members are shareholders Alan Baum, Marian Patchen Cullen, Brian O’Connor, and David Chmiel.
Election to the Academy is one of the highest honors for a civil litigator practicing in Allegheny County, extended only to trial lawyers demonstrating profound excellence and professionalism in their practice. Founded in 1959, the Academy promotes the highest standards of integrity, civility, and competence in the legal profession. Members of the Academy represent the most exceptional civil trial lawyers in Allegheny County and we are glad to have Ms. Neal included among their ranks.
Ms. Neal focuses her practice on the defense of health care professionals in medical malpractice cases, civil rights actions, and professional licensing matters. She has been recognized as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyers “Rising Star” in every year from 2016-20. Prior to joining Matis Baum O’Connor in 2012, Ms. Neal served as a Law Clerk for the Honorable Judith K. Fitzgerald of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. She earned her undergraduate degree from Westminster College in 2008 and her law degree from Duquesne University in 2011. View Ms. Neal’s full bio here.
