Alan S. Baum Honored as a “Top 50” Attorney in Pittsburgh

Matis Baum O’Connor shareholder Alan S. Baum, Esq., has been selected by Super Lawyers Magazine as one of the “Top 50” attorneys in Pittsburgh. The list spans all practice areas, not just medical malpractice, in a city with thousands of very capable lawyers.

Mr. Baum, the Managing Shareholder of Matis Baum O’Connor, is a founding member of the firm. He has been selected as a “Super Lawyer” in every year from 2007-21 and currently serves as the President of the Academy of Trial Lawyers of Allegheny County. He has also been recognized in the annual “Best Lawyers in America” list in the field of “Medical Malpractice Law – Defendants” in every year since 2016. Mr. Baum focuses his practice on the representation of physicians, nursing homes, and other healthcare providers, particularly in the defense of medical malpractice lawsuits, and in related contract and employment litigation. Mr. Baum has extensive trial experience, having tried over 100 cases in his career. Mr. Baum also represents healthcare professionals in administrative matters involving professional licensing, certification, credentialing, discipline, and privileges.
