Michael Wiesemann’s practice focuses on the representation of physicians and health care professionals in medical malpractice litigation.
Prior to joining Baum O’Connor Cullen Chmiel in 2018, Mr. Wiesemann was an attorney in the Pittsburgh office of a large international firm where he represented clients in civil litigation and transactional matters. He has managed clients’ national and local litigation portfolios and has advocated for his clients throughout Pennsylvania state courts. His litigation experience includes jury trials and successfully defending several multimillion-dollar lawsuits alleging violations of both federal and state law.
While in law school at the University of Pittsburgh, Mr. Wiesemann was a judicial extern to the Hon. Jeffrey Deller of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, in addition to receiving the Murray S. Love award for his skills in trial advocacy.
For ten years, Mr. Wiesemann volunteered as the head coach of the University of Pittsburgh’s nationally award-winning undergraduate mock trial program.
