M. Brian O’Connor Honored as a “Top 50” Attorney in Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh, PA, United States — Matis Baum O’Connor shareholder M. Brian O’Connor, Esq., has been selected by Super Lawyers Magazine as one of the “Top 50” attorneys in Pittsburgh. The list spans all practice areas, not just medical malpractice, in a city with thousands of very capable lawyers.

Attorney O’Connor has been a member of the firm for 23 years. He focuses his practice on the defense of physicians, hospitals, and nursing homes in medical malpractice cases. Attorney O’Connor has tried over 50 jury trials in all counties of western Pennsylvania and the federal courts of the Western District and Middle District of Pennsylvania. He is a Fellow of the Academy of Trial Lawyers of Allegheny County and has served an Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. In every year since 2009, Attorney O’Connor has been recognized as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer for the defense of medical negligence cases. He was also recognized in the 2016 edition of Best Lawyers in America.

Attorney O’Connor is active in the Pittsburgh community. He served for two decades as President of Christian Housing, Inc., a non-profit dedicated to providing housing to the elderly poor, and is a former President of the Pittsburgh St. Thomas More Society.
